As counselor and member of the education team at J.E. Cosgriff Memorial Catholic School, I will implement my professional training, experience and knowledge of proven theories and methods to assist all students in the areas of academic achievement, personal/social development and career development. Through delivery of a comprehensive counseling and guidance program, students will be supported in becoming productive, well-adjusted adults of tomorrow.

The Counseling and Guidance Program at J.E. Cosgriff Memorial Catholic School will provide services that include:

• Guidance Curriculum; classroom lessons that are age-appropriate and grade specific to the developmental needs of students. Lessons will assist students in personal/social development, academic learning development and life/career development. Curriculum aligns with the standards of the USOE Utah Counseling and Guidance Program Model, USOE Core Education and Salt Lake City Diocesan Curriculum.
• School-wide themes; Social Skills, Character Education.
• Responsive Services; individual and small group counseling
• Individual Planning

In our complicated and dynamic world, children and adolescents are faced with challenges and opportunities that require them to develop skills that will assist them as they journey through life. By better understanding themselves; how they relate to others, how to persevere and how to be resilient- they will find greater success in their education, careers and their futures.
